20Twenty Productions CIC was created on 25th October 2011. We are a not-for-profit organisation that uses creativity and participation to engage and empower children and young people so they may build confidence, essential skills for life and one or more creative skill sets. Working strategically, collaboratively and directly as creative practitioners we inspire young people to realise their potential whilst growing as leaders. Our programmes, projects and events are designed with and for young people. 20Twenty Productions supports creative industry development; empowering young people to gain qualifications and access real world opportunities. If you would like to know more about the work we do please email us.

Leaders and Thinkers (delayed due to COVID)

"Leaders and thinkers" is an innovative activity for children in school years 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Inspired by our successful Bits and Bytes program, this weekly out of school activity engages, develops, and broadens the aspirations of your son or daughter. The focus is upon the creation of the essential skills that grow leaders and thinkers. Our goal is to help children become both. Skills developed include problem-solving, creativity, resilience, teamwork, leadership, critical evaluation, and respect.

Our extensive range of activities are all designed to give your child further opportunities to develop the above skills. Activities will include tackling theoretical problems, solving practical problems, developing programming skills, tackling robotic challenges, solving puzzles, creative challenges (such as film-making), age-appropriate social debates, and research and presentation based activities. We guarantee that the events will be so engaging that you as parents may wish to join too!

Details of a free pilot sessions will be announced as soon as we can confidently launch the program.

Your son or daughter will be welcomed by our team, every Wednesday afternoon, between 4:30 and 6:30pm. The activities are staged in the Skoulding Suite within March Town Hall. Those joining are expected to attend on a weekly basis. This is an essential requirement as some of the activities will span multiple weeks, whilst all activities are team-based.

We believe this is an investment in your child's future. This weekly investment is just £7.50, and covers all costs. Please understand this amount, which is slightly more than many of 20Twenty Productions' weekly activities, is based upon the costs of providing the necessary staff and resources.

We believe that children should socialise and work alongside a broader mix of ages to aid their own social development. As such children attending primary or secondary school in years 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are invited to join.

Membership will be limited to 40 children at any given time. From this children will be organised in to teams of four to participate in our structured, competitive activities. We do expect the demand to grow, and for the group to ultimately reach capacity.

Please complete the information below. Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. We will contact you as soon as we have the minimum number of children needed to start the activity.

Having effective, reliable problem solving skills will make a profound difference to your career. Problems, and finding a solution to them, are at the center of what many people do at work every day.

To be an effective problem solver requires other valuable skills, including creativity.

Debating helps young people develop essential critical thinking skills, including the ability to make reasoned and well thought out arguments in addition to questioning the reasoning or facts behind a particular stance or conclusion.

"Without our funders, 20Twenty Productions would not exist. In a world where all children and young people were treated with respect, equality, and afforded creative and artistic opportunities to express themselves, we would not need to."
